Jack Ludlam is a lens based artist with a focus on medium format and large format film photography. Jack grew up in Ohio spending most of his time in the woods hunting, fishing, and exploring. On occasion, Jack would leave his bow or his fishing rod at home and instead would tote his mothers 35mm film camera. He quickly developed an interest in photography, specifically film photography. Jack eventually made his way to Denver Colorado in order to study at Regis University where he had unlimited access to a darkroom. The physical process of making a photograph quickly became Jacks focus. Since then Jack has spent most of his time documenting what are often under appreciated relics and heirlooms in a hyper detailed aesthetic. Most recently Jack has explored mixed media in addition to his photographic process by introducing clues of context and emotion to his imagery.
